visit from the police

Along with the NFU, the Thoresby team were delighted to host Caroline Henry, the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime commissioner for the morning to talk all things rural crime. We gave Caroline a tour of the estate and a productive meeting was had, hopefully solving some of the issues we face.

Barley Drilling is a go!

Spring Barley is going into lovely conditions for Fernwood Agriculture using our Fendt 1050 and Vaderstad drill.

Spreading muck

During the winter months the team are busy spreading muck from the Pigs, Cattle and Sheep we have on our farm. Our new K-Two muck spreader accurately spreads manure so we can use the material effectively in the following crop.

Getting Ready for summer

The team have been installing new irrigation pipelines over winter to make sure our crops get precious water when they need it efficiently and effectively during the growing season.

drilling ‘on the green’

Thoresby Farming hosted a socially distanced open day in conjunction with B&B tractors and Vaderstad UK looking at the capabilities of the Vaderstad drill when working in green cover crops. Is this the future?
